How
to use a Press Release
Creating Press Releases for
your company and posting it
on your website was a
popular trend for a while
but even though most Press
Releases now go unread you
can still use them to
attract attention to your
website. Here is how:
If you are offering a great
new product or service and
want the world to know about
it. Send out this press
release to you opt-in email
list and be sure to use very
catch phases to keep the
excitement!
Next it is easier than you
think to get radio air time,
the best way to get airplay
is to call up every AM radio
station that you can find a
number for and tell them
about your product. Show
your enthusiasm and make it
sound like the world is
going to change overnight
with the use of your
product. Also a great way to
to attract attention to your
press release is through
human error. OK, keep
following me on this - I
know your probably thinking
what the heck does human
error have to do with my
product being advertised.
Well lets say that your
product is a wrist brace. So
you sit and watch football
and just wait for someone to
mess up as humans it will
happen. Then you send a very
short email to ESPN
and other sports network TV
and radio shows (make each
individual email
personalized - DO NOT SEND
THEM IN BULK). Your email
should read something like
this "Holy crap did you see
Brett Favre's goof up last
night?" Then inside the
email give them a short
description about how he may
have thrown the ball totally
off balance and how if your
wrist brace had been used it
would have changed the
outcome of the game. Then
include a link to your
website. You would be
surprised at how quickly
network TV stations will
pick up your ad for free
without even realizing it.
